A global phenomenon that has wowed audiences for the past five decades, Jesus Christ Superstar is a timeless work set against the backdrop of an extraordinary and universally-known series of events, but seen through the eyes of Judas Iscariot.
The story, told entirely through song, explores the personal relationships and struggles between Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, his disciples, his followers, and the Roman Empire. Reflecting the rock roots that defined a generation, the legendary ’70s score includes “I Don’t Know How to Love Him,” “Gethsemane,” and “Superstar.”
A thrilling rock opera that reinvented musical theatre for the modern age, Jesus Christ Superstar continues to touch new generations of audiences with its contemporary imagining of the biblical tale and thematic issues of fame, revolution, radicalism, and humility. Don’t miss it.
Impressive lighting and sound design, and clever direction! This is easily the best Drayton production to date, and quite possibly the best production of Jesus Christ Superstar Ive ever seen. I expect productions of this caliber from Broadway; how lucky we are to have such a gem so close to home. Not to be missed!

Amazing!!! Outstanding!!! The standing ovation that started from the minute the ensemble came out through all the lead characters was well-deserved. There were at least five new-to-Drayton performers that are definite keepers. The singing was spellbinding and the choreography was visually descriptive of the plot. Once again Dayton has gone all out and wowed its audience. Thank you for a beautiful performance
