St. Jacobs Country Playhouse Announces 2026 Season

October 8, 2025

Drayton Entertainment's Artistic Director David Connolly today announced the 2026 Season for the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse

“Our 2026 Season spans genres, emotions, and generations but at its core, it's about what unites us: the need to laugh, to feel, to dream, and to share the experience together,” says Connolly. “We can’t wait to welcome you into this vibrant collection of unforgettable stories... where hope inspires change, courage strengthens connection, and shared experiences celebrate the joy, resilience, and humanity that bind us together.”

The 2026 Season opens with Dear Evan Hansen, a deeply moving and contemporary musical about connection in the digital age. Winner of the Olivier, Tony, and Grammy Awards for Best Musical, it follows a high school senior whose small lie spirals into a life-changing journey. See it on stage March 18 to April 12.

Next, Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None delivers a chilling mystery as ten strangers trapped on a remote island are accused of deadly secrets—then start to die one by one. Put your sleuthing skills to the test May 20 to June 7.

Return to Grace celebrates the music and legacy of Elvis Presley with an electrifying concert experience featuring over 20 performers and timeless hits like “Hound Dog” and “Suspicious Minds.” This high-energy musical revue, conceived and created by Robert Asselstine, is on stage July 15 to August 8.

Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple brings laughter to the summer with the classic clash between messy Oscar and meticulous Felix, whose opposite personalities lead to hilarious chaos and heartfelt friendship. Catch this hilarious and entertaining tale August 12 to August 30.

Sondheim and Lapine’s Into the Woods intertwines classic fairy tales in a witty, darkly comic musical exploring what happens after “happily ever after.” A rare modern classic about wishes, family, and the choices we make, this mystical and magical musical adventure is on stage October 7 to October 25.

The season concludes with Snow White and the Seven Tenors, a spectacular panto bursting with fairy-tale magic, show-stopping music, dazzling dance, and laugh-out-loud fun for all ages. This beloved British tradition combines whimsical storytelling with outrageous costumes, pop-culture gags, and cheeky humour that delights both kids and grown-ups alike. See it during the holiday season, November 19 to December 27.

The St. Jacobs Country Playhouse is located at 40 Benjamin Rd. E., Waterloo, N2V 2J9.
