“Oh what a circus, oh what a show” ... this epic Tony Award®-winning Broadway musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice charts the meteoric rise of Argentina’s infamous Eva Peron, affectionately known as Evita.

Full of ambition, glamour, and magnetism, Eva climbs her way up the ladder of success from a life of poverty, first as a model and actress, then as the wife of General Juan Peron, and finally as a celebrated spiritual leader and the most powerful woman in South America.

To the poor masses, she is adored as a saint; to her enemies, she is reviled as a manipulative dictator. Nevertheless, for over thirty years this legendary woman becomes the driving spirit that helps define a nation.

Featuring some of the best loved songs in musical theatre including “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina,” “Buenos Aires,” “Another Suitcase in Another Hall,” and “High Flying, Adored” Evita is a powerful and riveting theatrical experience not to be missed.

Recommended for ages 10 and up. 

Running Time: 2 hours, including 20 minute intermission.

This show had me from the moment the curtain went up until it came down - two hours of theatre that engaged emotions. Very strong performances by all the actors. Choreography was superb, and costumes and set were just right. As always, Drayton gets top marks!

The show was amazing! Set was well put together and utilized. Costumes were glamorous and suited the story. The live music was excellent. And the actors! All amazing! Tap dancers amazing! Singers amazing! Especially the actress who plays Eva Peron, her singing is better than Madonnas. Drayton always puts on a great show, but I would say Evita is definitely one of the best ones yet!

Huron Country Playhouse Announces 2025 Season

Drayton Entertainment's Artistic Director Alex Mustakas today announced the 2025 Season for the Huron Country Playhouse.
