Get ready to move and groove in this electrifying retrospective of the greatest soul singers of all time.
The Sound of Soul features the “Soul Man” himself – Broadway (and Drayton Entertainment) star Lee Siegel – and friends. Along with a stellar band, you’ll be transported back in time as we pay tribute to 20 of the defining voices of the genre – iconic artists such as Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, Sam Cooke, Bill Withers, Otis Redding, Percy Sledge, Edwin Starr, and more.
With its roots in gospel and rhythm & blues, and a message centred on equality, acceptance, and love, soul music is credited as more than just one of the defining musical genres of our time – it is a movement unto itself, influencing everything from fashion and pop culture, to art and language. Don’t miss this stirring, emotional, and profound musical experience that will touch the very depths of your soul.
Recommended for ages 10 and up.
Running Time: 2 hours, including a 20 minute intermission.

If you havent had the opportunity to see The Sound Of Soul yet, buy your ticket NOW before its too late. The show is wonderful, fantastic, phenomenal, etc., etc. This celebration of soul music created by Lee Siegel and Konrad Pluta had people dancing in the aisles. Lees voice is incredible, literally mesmerizing, and the supporting cast are all strong in their own right. One would expect to see this hit show in any major city in North America. Well done Drayton for bringing this show to St. Jacobs.
