At the Schoolhouse Theatre, the spirit of Christmas is definitely in season!
This delightful holiday-themed musical continues the story of the 1960s singing group, the Plaids, by bringing the endearing quartet (Sparky, Jinx, Frankie, and Smudge) back together to fulfill a special mission: to bring harmony in a discordant world.
This charming production will fill you with festive cheer through its mix of beloved holiday standards, all performed in heavenly harmony, while weaving a story of friendship, second chances, and the enduring power of music.
A nostalgic nod to a bygone era, Plaid Tidings resonates with audiences today through its timeless message of joy, hope, and simple reminder that the spirit of the holidays can prevail in even the most challenging times. Don’t miss this truly heaven-sent holiday treat.
Recommended for ages 10 and up.
Running Time: 2 hours, including 20 minute intermission.
This show was my absolute favourite of the season. Many years ago I went to see Forever Plaid. I really enjoyed that production and wondered if this one would meet my expectations. I was not disappointed. Plaid Tidings was everything I could have hoped for. Great singing, the men had wonderful voices and the piano player was perfect. The comedy was quite funny and I so enjoyed the show. Thank you.
