King's Wharf Theatre Announces 2026 Season

October 8, 2025

Drayton Entertainment's Artistic Director David Connolly today announced the 2026 Season for the King's Wharf Theatre

“Our 2026 Season spans genres, emotions, and generations but at its core, it's about what unites us: the need to laugh, to feel, to dream, and to share the experience together,” says Connolly. “We can’t wait to welcome you into this vibrant collection of unforgettable stories... where hope inspires change, courage strengthens connection, and shared experiences celebrate the joy, resilience, and humanity that bind us together.”

The 2026 Season opens with the divine musical comedy Sister Act, featuring music by Alan Menken and based on the hit film starring Whoopi Goldberg. When a disco diva hides in a convent after witnessing a crime, her larger-than-life personality transforms the nuns’ choir in this joyful celebration of sisterhood and song. Sister Act will leave audiences jumping for joy June 10 to June 27.

Next up, Nashville Music City takes audiences on a toe-tapping journey through the heart of country music. From Dolly and Willie to Shania and Taylor, this high-energy revue created by Tracey Power and Van Wilmott celebrates the stars and sounds that made Music City shine. Watch these incredibly talented musicians go wild, July 2 to July 18

The season continues with Joe DiPietro’s heartfelt comedy Over the River and Through the Woods, where four spirited grandparents scheme to keep their grandson close to home in a touching, laugh-filled story about family, love, and tradition. Full of hilarious twists and turns, this memorable production will speak to all generations of theatregoers. It’s onstage July 23 to August 8.

Then, experience the ultimate tribute to the King in Return to Grace, a spectacular concert event packed with Elvis classics like “Love Me Tender,” “Hound Dog,” and “Suspicious Minds,” performed by 20 singers, dancers, and musicians. This high-energy musical revue, conceived and created by Robert Asselstine, runs August 13 to August 30

To wrap up the season, the holiday panto is back with Snow White and the Seven Tenors! Caroline Smith reimagines the classic tale with powerhouse vocals, hilarious twists, and a flurry of pop-culture fun. A time-honoured UK tradition, pantomime blends fairy tales with fabulous flair — complete with hit songs, wild dance numbers, glittering costumes, and cheeky humour for audiences of all ages. See it October 21 to November 14.

The King's Wharf Theatre is located at 97 Jury Dr., Penetanguishene, L9M 1G7.
