Huron Country Playhouse Announces 2026 Season
October 8, 2025
Drayton Entertainment's Artistic Director David Connolly today announced the 2026 Season for the Huron Country Playhouse.
“Our 2026 Season spans genres, emotions, and generations but at its core, it's about what unites us: the need to laugh, to feel, to dream, and to share the experience together,” says Connolly. “We can’t wait to welcome you into this vibrant collection of unforgettable stories... where hope inspires change, courage strengthens connection, and shared experiences celebrate the joy, resilience, and humanity that bind us together.”
The Huron Country Playhouse is located at RR1, 70689 B Line. Grand Bend, NOM 1T0.
Mainstage
The 2026 Season opens with the Broadway tap-dancing extravaganza 42nd Street. With music by Harry Warren, lyrics by Al Dubin, and book by Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble, this glittering showbiz fairy tale delivers spectacular choreography, backstage drama, and iconic tunes like “Lullaby of Broadway,” “We’re in the Money,” and “Shuffle Off to Buffalo.” Don’t miss it, June 10 to June 27.
Next up, the 10-time Tony Award-winning comedy The Full Monty follows a group of out-of-work steelworkers turned unlikely strippers in a hilarious tale of friendship and self-discovery. Based on the hit film, the show features a book by Terrence McNally and music and lyrics by David Yazbek. Audiences will find out if these lovable misfits can really pull it off July 2 to July 25.
Finally, an epic Broadway blockbuster will transform the Playhouse this August. The long-awaited title will be revealed later this year — and it’s worth the wait! The title will be officially announced later this year, and runs August 5 to August 30.
South Huron Stage
The 2026 Season opens with the reimagined panto Snow White and the Seven Tenors by Caroline Smith. Banished by her jealous stepmother, Snow White discovers a band of powerhouse singers who help her find her voice, defeat the wicked queen, and reclaim her crown. A beloved tradition imported from the UK, pantomimes mix fairy tales with fabulous fun: chart-topping hits, dazzling dance, outrageous costumes, pop-culture gags, and cheeky humour for kids and grown-ups alike. See it June 10 to June 27.
The suspense builds with Misery, William Goldman’s chilling stage adaptation of Stephen King’s thriller about a novelist trapped by his “Number One Fan.” A gripping battle of wits unfolds as survival becomes a matter of life or death. This nail-biting game of cat-and-mouse is on stage July 2 to July 18.
Then, the spotlight shines on country’s biggest hits in Nashville Music City, created by Tracey Power and Van Wilmott. From Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash to Shania Twain and Taylor Swift, this musical celebration brings the sound of Music City to life. Watch these incredibly talented musicians go wild, July 23 to August 8.
The season concludes with Joe DiPietro’s heartfelt comedy Over the River and Through the Woods, a touching and hilarious story about family, love, and the ties that keep us together. It’s onstage August 13 to August 30.
