Drayton Festival Theatre Announces 2026 Season
October 8, 2025
Drayton Entertainment's Artistic Director David Connolly today announced the 2026 Season for the Drayton Festival Theatre.
“Our 2026 Season spans genres, emotions, and generations but at its core, it's about what unites us: the need to laugh, to feel, to dream, and to share the experience together,” says Connolly. “We can’t wait to welcome you into this vibrant collection of unforgettable stories... where hope inspires change, courage strengthens connection, and shared experiences celebrate the joy, resilience, and humanity that bind us together.”
There’s a saying in Nashville: “It all begins with a song” — and Drayton Entertainment’s 2026 Season follows suit. Nashville Music City, created by Tracey Power and Van Wilmott, celebrates the artists and songs that made the city legendary. Experience Nashville’s enduring musical legacy June 10 to June 27.
Next up, Sister Act brings heavenly laughs and gospel-inspired music to the stage. Based on the hit film starring Whoopi Goldberg, this Alan Menken–Glenn Slater musical follows a disco diva hiding in a convent who helps her sisters find their voices—and discovers her own. Filled an uplifting story that celebrates sisterhood, Sister Act will leave audiences jumping for joy July 2 to July 26.
The season wraps up with Sexy Laundry by Michele Riml, a hilarious Canadian comedy about a long-married couple’s cheeky attempt to reignite the spark on a weekend getaway—with “Sex for Dummies” in hand. This international hit play is on stage August 12 to August 30.
The Drayton Festival Theatre is located at 33 Wellington St. S., Drayton, N0G 1P0.
