“Oh what a circus, oh what a show” ...  this epic Tony® Award-winning Broadway musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice charts the meteoric rise of Argentina’s infamous Eva Perón, affectionately known as Evita.

Full of ambition, glamour, and magnetism, Eva climbs her way up the ladder of success from a life of poverty, first as a model and actress, then as the wife of General Juan Perón, and finally as a celebrated spiritual leader and the most powerful woman in South America.

To the poor masses, she is adored as a saint; to her enemies, she is reviled as a manipulative dictator. Nevertheless, for over thirty years this legendary woman becomes the driving spirit that helps define a nation.

Featuring some of the best loved songs in musical theatre including “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina”, “Buenos Aires”, “Another Suitcase in Another Hall”, and “High Flying, Adored”, Evita is a powerful and riveting theatrical experience not to be missed.

Running Time: 2 hours, including a 20 minute intermission.

Audience Recommendation: Recommended for ages 10 and up. There is no official rating system for live theatre. We encourage you to use your judgment based on your child's age and maturity level.

Reviews

This was a wonderful production, very talented individuals. The music and choreography was amazing. We are so lucky to have Drayton in Cambridge. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Valerie M, Cambridge
One of the best productions of Evita we have ever seen. We were very familiar with Evita so have lots to compare it with. One of the best.
Richard L, London
Absolutely amazing! Opening night was a great hit! Performers were stellar. Staging and music was awesome. Loved it!
Diane W, Cambridge
We absolutely LOVED Evita! EVERYONE played their part to perfection; right down to the youngest little girl! Friends are going to see Evita tomorrow, & we told them they're in for a real treat! The staging was great, & all those with solo parts sang them beautifully! From what we could tell, each person has a microphone, & all voices came across so clearly! This is not always the case in some theatres. Well done! Cant wait to book for next season!
Doug & Liz C., Burlington
Another unbelievable performance.!!! Drayton theatre never disappoints!
Barb O, Cambridge
Riveting! A must see performance of this beloved story where the music, dance and characters will spellbind you from the first note till the last. Bravo!
Kathryn M., Cambridge
Outstanding! Special kudos to the band for NAILING this challenging score; I'll be humming the music for the rest of the month! Spectacular performances from all cast members - the chorus of performers is unmatched. Nico solarte's Che is a shining star in the theatre world.
Keith B, Cambridge
We have yet to see a show with Drayton we did not love. Evita was no exception. From the actors, the choreography, the music, and the set design, it was fantastic. The gentleman that played Che was my favourite, although it was hard to choose, they were all so good.
Rae & Debbie B, Wasaga Beach
I've waited to see this production for so many years. Finally getting to see it. It did not disappoint. It's a must see for anybody who is not seen it yet or someone who wants to revisit the experience. This gets a five star from me
Karen W, Cambridge
Great energy, fantastic chorus, great interpretation of familiar music. We would see it again anytime.

We were thrilled by the quality of the voices who sang the songs and interpreted the story. Congratulations on another thrilling show in our city of Cambridge.
Beth E, Cambridge
Evita's voice was so powerful. The first half was great fun, the second half moved me to tears. The dance numbers were fantastic. Loved the tap dance army.
