Consider hosting your next event at one of our seven theatres. Our unique theatre spaces are available for a variety of functions. Host your next AGM, workshop, seminar or conference in one of our fully equipped venues.

Rental Information

The Drayton Festival Theatre is a renovated 1902 Opera House, boasting wonderful acoustic qualities. With its plush seating, modern elevator, upgraded washrooms, and state of the art air-conditioning system, this historic theatre is one of the most comfortable and accessible of its kind in the country.

We have professional staff to ensure that all your production requirements are met and that your event is a success.

Theatre Information

House Capacity: 375 seats, including wheelchair positions
Orchestra Section: 245 seats
Balcony/Boxes: 130 seats

The Drayton Festival Theatre is wheelchair accessible. The Box Office, restrooms, and refreshment area are all located on the main floor.

Stage Specifications

Stage: The Festival Theatre stage is located on the second floor of the Festival Theatre building.

The stage is a proscenium type with wings on the stage left and stage right side. The stage has a fixed grid at 16'6" above the stage floor. Grid pipes are hung at 8" centres.

The proscenium width is 36'0"
The proscenium height is 15'0"
The total width of the stage is 45'5"
The depth of the stage is 42'0"

There are loading doors in the stage right wing that allows access directly to the stage. Rental of a lift and operator at an additional charge is required to use these doors. There is a small elevator available to transport small, lightweight items to the orchestra level of the theatre.

Orchestra Pit

The orchestra pit is located on the main level of the theatre (below the stage) and is accessed via the stage door. The orchestra pit can accommodate 20 players. Use of the audio system is required when the pit is used.

Lighting

A basic lighting plot is provided with your rental which will be hung and circuited prior to your arrival.

Sound

Our in-house sound system, which includes main speakers, onstage monitors, mixing console and amplifiers, is suitable for theatrical and dance presentations as well as lectures and audio-visual presentations. We can also make arrangements for rental of microphones and other audio equipment. One of our in-house professional sound operators is required to operate the sound system at an additional charge.

Dressing Rooms

Three dressing rooms are available, accommodating up to 23 people.

Box Office

Box Office service is available to all event producers. The box office will accept cash, cheque, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Interac as payment for tickets. Ticket printing (general admission or reserved seating) includes set-up of the event in our computerized ticketing database. The box office is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For events on weekends or holidays, the box office will open two hours prior to the event start time. The box office will prepare a report summarizing all ticket sales, revenues and fees.

Rental Information

The newest venue to the Drayton Entertainment brand, Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge boasts a 500-seat theatre, three rehearsal halls and more. We have professional staff to ensure that all your production requirements are met and that your event is a success.

Theatre Information

House Capacity: 506 seats, including wheelchair positions.
Orchestra Section: 408 seats
Balcony/Boxes: 98 seats

The Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge is wheelchair accessible. The box office, restrooms and refreshment area are all located on the main level. An elevator is available for access to the balcony.

Stage Specifications

The Theatre is equipped with a fly system with 53 available fly lines hung at 8” centres. On stage electrics can be hung on any pipe. The grid height is 59’.

The flys can be operated from the fly floor located in the stage left wing or at deck level in the stage left wing*

Proscenium width: 39’ 5”
Proscenium height: 19’ 11”
Total width of the stage: 72’
Depth of the stage: 39’ 4” to the proscenium line

Loading: loading dock level access.

One of our in-house professional fly system operators is required to operate the fly system at an additional charge.

Our sound system which includes main speakers, on stage monitors, mixing console and amplifiers, is suitable for theatrical and dance presentations as well as lectures and audio-visual presentations. One of our in-house professional sound operators is required to operate the sound system at an additional charge.

Dressing Rooms

Nine dressing rooms are available, accommodating up to 54 people. Seven of the dressing rooms are located on the second floor of the theatre (behind the stage). Two dressing rooms are located on the ground floor. There is an accessible dressing room on the ground floor.

Box Office service is available to all event producers. The box office will accept cash, cheque, Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Interac as payment for tickets. Ticket printing (general admission or reserved seating) includes set-up of the event in our computerized ticketing database. Huron Country Playhouse | Mainstage

Rental Information

Located in a picturesque country setting, just minutes from the shores of Lake Huron, the century-old Playhouse barn is the perfect spot for a truly unforgettable summer theatre experience. The spacious theatre is air-conditioned and wheelchair accessible.

Theatre Information

House Capacity: 660 seats, including wheelchair positions. Huron Country Playhouse is wheelchair accessible. The Box Office, restrooms, and refreshment area are all located on the main floor.

Stage Specifications

Stage: The stage is a proscenium type with wings on the stage left and right side. The stage has a permanent thrust.

Lighting

A basic lighting plot is provided with your rental which will be hung and circuited prior to your arrival. Changes to the basic plot can be accommodated at an additional charge.

Sound

Our in-house sound system, which includes a basic sound system including main speakers, onstage monitors, console and CD player, is suitable for theatrical and dance presentations. The theatre is also equipped with a selection of microphones available for use. A professional sound operator is available for an additional charge.

Huron Country Playhouse | South Huron Stage (formerly Playhouse II)

Nestled within Discovery Harbour, King's Wharf Theatre is flanked by majestic tall ships and historic buildings. This unique, rustic theatre is air-conditioned and wheelchair accessible.

Theatre Information

House Capacity: 364 seats. The King's Wharf Theatre is wheelchair accessible. The Box Office, restrooms, and refreshment area are all located on the main floor.

Stage Specifications

Stage: The stage is a proscenium type with wings on the stage left and right side. The stage has a permanent thrust. proscenium opening - 32' 8" total width: (stage right to stage left walls- widest point) 48' 6", depth of stage - 29', height from stage floor to lighting grid - 15' 6"

Lighting

A basic lighting plot is provided with your rental which will be hung and circuited prior to your arrival.

Sound

Our in-house sound system, which includes a basic sound system including main speakers, onstage monitors, console and CD player is suitable for theatrical and dance presentations. The theatre can also make arrangements for rental of microphones. A professional sound operator is available for an additional charge.

Rental Information

Located on the borders of Waterloo and the Conestoga Expressway, the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse is available for rentals at competitive rates for your concerts, recitals, dance competitions, performances, lectures or theatrical productions.

Theatre Information

House Capacity: 398 seats, including wheelchair positions
Orchestra Section: 334 seats
Balcony/Boxes: 64 seats

The St. Jacobs Country Playhouse is wheelchair accessible. The Box Office, restrooms, coat check and refreshment area are all located in the front lobby.

Stage Specifications

Stage: 60' wide, 24' deep, black sprung floor; brown border proscenium with black side masking.
Orchestra Pit: The orchestra pit can fit up to 20 musicians. Access to the pit is from backstage only.

Lighting

A basic lighting plot is provided with your rental which will be hung and circuited prior to your arrival. Changes to the basic plot can be accommodated at an additional charge.

Sound

Our in-house sound system, which includes a basic sound system including main speakers, onstage monitors, mixing console and CD player, is suitable for theatrical and dance presentations. The theatre can also make arrangements for rental of microphones. A professional sound operator is available for an additional charge.

Five dressing rooms are available, accommodating up to 30 people.
