Youth Programs Endowment Initiative
in memory of John Kerr
As a proud supporter of Drayton Entertainment, and personal friend and mentor to Artistic Director Alex Mustakas, John Kerr’s lifelong passion for the performing arts was extraordinary.
In his memory, a $10,000 bequest was made by the Kerr family for programs and outreach initiatives for young people.
Rather than expend the funds in a single year, our hope is for this legacy of giving to inspire others to support as well so that it results in $10,000 in perpetuity to support these audience development programs.
To do this, we must raise $125,000. With $10,000 commitments by Alex and Jackie Mustakas, and the Waterloo Regional Gilbert & Sullivan Society, we already have $30,000 in seed money.
Help us raise the remaining $95,000!
Any donation you make towards this program will double in value, due to a federal government matching funds program. This means if we reach our $125,000 fundraising target the impact will be $250,000 … resulting in a minimum annual payout of $10,000+ in perpetuity to support these vital youth programs.
Specifically, for you this means:
• $250 donation will have an impact of $500!
• $500 donation will have an impact of $1,000!
• $1,000 donation will have an impact of $2,000!
• $2,500 donation will have an impact of $5,000!
• $5,000 donation will have an impact of $10,000!
Flexible payment plans are available so you can pay for your gift over time. Contact us for details.
When we realize this goal, our plan is to dedicate the John Kerr Box in the theatre auditorium at the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse in John’s memory, along with a plaque listing those donors who contribute $250 or more to this project.
