There’s no such thing as a secret in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia – especially when four female best friends meet for coffee every day at the local diner to share gossip, romance, bawdy tales, and the true meaning of life.
When Sean, a heartbroken doctor from Toronto, takes a temporary job at the clinic and becomes interested in local waitress Janine, the Maritime town that’s best known for being the halfway point between the Equator and North Pole is tipped off its axis. What follows is a month of lessons learned for all, through hilarity, tears, and the unshakeable bonds of friendship.
Norm Foster, Canada’s favourite playwright, has another hit on his hands with his raucously funny comedy about the messiness of love.
Recommended for ages 13 and up.
Running Time: 2 hours and 10 minutes, including 20 minute intermission.
What a fun afternoon we had. We laughed from start to finish. The 5 actor team did a fabulous job presenting this Norm Foster play. Would highly recommend getting tickets to this production. Another fantastic Drayton Entertainment production.

Both my husband and I loved the production - let me correct that included all the people seated around us loved the production. We all suddenly became one group laughing and guffawing at the same times and looking at each other nodding yes! Thank you to Norm Foster for the excellent writing. Kudos to the Director, Design teams, Stage Manager. Especially thankyou to the actors who welcomed us into their lives for a couple of hours of delight. That is one of the fastest of standing ovations I have seen in some time. Well done all around.

Truly a 5 Star rating of this production of Norm Foster's clever, witty and poignant writing of Halfway There. The acting is excellent. The directing made us feel that we were right there as part of the conversation in the diner. An afternoon well spent.
