Disney's The Little Mermaid

The Broadway Musical

September 23 to October 4

Lyrics by Howard Ashman & Glenn Slater
Music by Alan Menken
Book by Doug Wright

Following the success of Mean Girls, Footloose, and Legally Blonde comes another surefire hit production starring 60 students on stage and backstage in the annual Drayton Entertainment Youth Academy High School Musical Production.

In a magical kingdom fathoms below, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. When the evil sea witch, Ursula, grants her the opportunity to sprout legs and go after the heart of Prince Eric, she jumps at the opportunity. But with forces working against her, Ariel will need help from her friends and family if she is ever to see her dreams come true.

A captivating story about the quest for love and identity, and featuring the hit songs “Part of Your World,” “She’s in Love,” and the Oscar-winning “Under the Sea,” The Little Mermaid is a splashy Broadway spectacle for the entire family.

Recommended for ages 5 and up

My family and I attended the performance last night and we cannot believe the quality of the show as we were not sure what to expect with a production with high school students!! It was absolutely incredible. We loved it so much that I hope to see it again. A friend from out of town also attended and said she didnt know what to expect either, but were also surprised at the quality of the show. This was by no means an amateur show, from the sets, dialogue, singing, costumes etc. it definitely was an amazing show!! The whole cast, crew and creative team should be very proud of the show they put on!! It was a very professional and worth while production....everyone should see it!
