Located in a renovated schoolhouse originally built in 1867, the historic Schoolhouse Theatre adds an eclectic
mix of charm and entertainment to this popular tourism mecca. With only 100 seats and marvelous acoustics,
the theatre offers an intimate, cabaret-style approach to professional theatre.

From Toronto, Kitchener-Waterloo

  • Take Highway 401 westbound.
  • Take Highway 7 & 8 to Kitchener-Waterloo at Exit 278.
  • Take Highway 85 North to Waterloo.
  • Follow the highway out of Waterloo towards Elmira.
  • When you come to the traffic circle, follow the signs pointing to St. Jacobs.
  • Take your third exit in the circle. You will see Picard's Peanuts at this turn off.
  • Turn left onto King St. This is the main street in St. Jacobs.
  • Turn right onto Albert Street - just past Home Hardware's Homeland Furniture Store.
  • The Schoolhouse Theatre is located behind the Forge & Anvil Blacksmith Shop, on the left side.

From London (North)

  • Take Highway 4 (Richmond St.) to Elginfield.
  • Turn right onto Highway 7 to Stratford.
  • In Stratford Highway 7 becomes Erie Street. Turn left at Huron/Ontario Streets, followed by a quick right onto Mornington Street (also called Highway 119).
  • Take Highway 119 to County Road 121, turn left onto Regional Road 11 in Millbank. Travel this road to Crosshill and turn left onto Regional Road 11.You will travel through St. Clements and Heidelberg. You will reach a T intersection and turn left onto King St. Follow King Street into St. Jacobs. Turn left onto Albert Street.
  • The Schoolhouse Theatre is located half a block up on the left side.
