Nestled within Discovery Harbour on Georgian Bay, the King's Wharf Theatre is a pleasantly rustic, 385-seat venue that offers all the comforts of a modern facility.  Flanked by the historic buildings of a 19th-century British naval and military base, the theatre is located at the end of a beautiful boardwalk that looks on to the homeport of replica ships H.M.S. Bee and H.M.S. Tecumseth.

A visit to the King's Wharf Theatre takes only 45 minutes from Barrie and Orillia, or just over an hour from Collingwood.  While in the area, explore the communities of Penetanguishene and Midland, which offer unique shops and dining establishments.  You'll also want to discover such treasures as Ontario's first European Community at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons.

Directions From Toronto & Barrie

• Take Highway 400 North.
• After passing through Barrie, there will be a sign for Highway 93 to Midland/Penetanguishene.
• Follow Highway 93 North for approximately 40 minutes. You will pass through Hillsdale, Waverley, and Wyebridge.
• In Midland, continue on Highway 93 North into Penetanguishene.
• Highway 93 North becomes Main Street in Penetanguishene. Continue straight and proceed to the waterfront.
• Turn right onto Beck Boulevard, and follow the street to the end ("T" intersection).
• Turn left onto Fox Street, followed by a right onto Broad Street, and a quick left onto Jury Drive.
• The King's Wharf Theatre is located at the end of Jury Drive.

From Orillia

• Take Coldwater Road to Trans-Canada Highway 12.
• Continue on Highway 12 for about 40 minutes until you reach Midland.
• In Midland, turn right onto Highway 93 North.
• Highway 93 North becomes Main Street in Penetanguishene. Continue straight and proceed to the waterfront.

• Take Highway 26 East, to County Road 92. Continue through Wasaga Beach until you reach County Road 6.
• At County Road 6 turn left in Elmvale. You will travel through Wyevale and Perkinsfield.
• Turn right onto County Road 25 and left on to Highway 93 North. This becomes Main Street in Penetanguishene.
• Continue straight and proceed to the waterfront.
• Turn right onto Beck Boulevard, and follow the street to the end ("T" intersection).
• Turn left onto Fox street, followed by a right onto Broad Street and a quick left onto Jury Drive.
