Our Student Matinee performances are selected to complement the music and drama curriculum requirements for today's students. Teachers also receive comprehensive study guides and other background materials to help prepare their students for the big event.
In a time of budget constraints and creative challenges in the classroom, our Student Matinee Experience is a smart choice for a child's education. We have enjoyed entertaining students from across the province for many years and we look forward to providing them with an engaging theatre experience in 2008.

Dear Teachers:
Rehearsals are well underway for another exciting season of live theatre at each Drayton Entertainment theatre. We hope that you are just as thrilled about bringing your students to view our performance, as we are to have them at the theatre.
Many schools have attended our productions in the past and we are delighted to welcome the new schools that are joining us for the first time this year.
We ask all teachers to please advise your students and adult chaperones not to bring cameras, mp3 players, laser pointers, cell phones or recording devices on the bus. These items are not allowed into the theatre. Backpacks are also discouraged but may be left on the bus if they are needed for the trip. Hats may be worn in the courtyard, but just as in the classroom, they must be removed upon entering the theatre.
There will be beverages, ice cream, pop, chips, and candy for sale. However, only bottled water is allowed in the theatre auditorium. Any food or drink items, either purchased at the theatre or brought from home, must be consumed outside the auditorium.
Our policy at the theatre is that students and teachers are seated according to grade levels, rather than grouped with their individual schools. This ensures the best possible visibility of the stage for our student guests.
Grade levels will be posted on the doors and our staff will direct your group to the appropriate entrance. Teachers and other adult chaperones will be issued a ticket to enter the theatre and we ask that you sit interspersed among the students, rather than as a group, for supervision purposes.
This information will be reviewed by a member of our staff who will greet your school group when you arrive at the theatre. However, with upwards of 350 students attending a single performance, your theatre experience will be much more fun if everyone is aware of the rules of conduct prior to the performance day.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you this season!
