We know Red Hatters just want to have fun and be entertained, so join us for 2 exclusive Red Hat Theatre Days this season!
On Friday, August 15th, 2008 at 2pm we invite you to the Drayton Festival Theatre for an exclusive Red Hat performance of the prize-winning play Steel Magnolias. We will decorate the lobby to mark this exciting special occasion and even line the streets of Drayton with red and purple to celebrate the arrival of more than 300 gorgeous ladies!
Steel Magnolias is a celebration of love and laughter in the lives of six sensational women. Set in a Louisiana Beauty Parlour, the spirited Southern Belles learn to embrace the future - and all of its uncertainties. Truvy, the outspoken beauty shop owner, dispenses shampoos and advice to all her clients, who gather to talk, gab, gossip, chit chat, needle and tease each other through the best of times - and cry, comfort, and console each other through the worst. These women are true steel magnolias, brazen southern belles who live life to the fullest and are strong enough to survive any challenge.
Charming, witty, and delightfully entertaining, Steel Magnolias is a bittersweet comedy that reminds us that life is a precious gift to celebrate - it's the perfect performance to enjoy in the company of great women!

This fall, join us on Wednesday, November 12th, 2008 at 2pm for another exclusive Red Hat performance of the award-winning musical Forever Plaid at the Schoolhouse Theatre in St. Jacobs. Once again, we will decorate the lobby with red and purple to mark this exciting special occasion and celebrate the arrival of you gorgeous ladies! There are only 120 seats in the theatre so please book early!
Forever Plaid is a fast-paced musical comedy, acclaimed worldwide, about four irresistible harmony singers who finally realize their dream. This hilarious look at the guy groups of the ‘'50s includes breathtaking renditions of 29 timeless hits of that era, a wild calypso medley, and the entire Ed Sullivan Show performed in 3 minutes and 11 seconds!
Enjoy a hit parade of such classic songs as "Heart & Soul", "Chain Gang", "Catch A Falling Star", "Three Coins In A Fountain", and many more. Take a trip back in time to a musical era that will put a smile on your face, a tap in your toes, and a tune in your heart.
