Drayton Entertainment is pleased to offer the finest in light-hearted entertainment at six historic theatres
in unique Ontario communities: Drayton Festival Theatre in Drayton, Huron Country Playhouse and Playhouse II in Grand Bend, King's Wharf Theatre in Penetanguishene, Schoolhouse Theatre in St. Jacobs, and the new St. Jacobs Country Playhouse.
Drayton Entertainment has blazed a trail of self-sufficiency and become widely regarded as Canada's Most Successful Theatre Company. The organization is a proud, multiple recipient of an unprecedented 6 Lieutenant Governor's Awards for the Arts - a prestigious honour bestowed on arts organizations that exemplify outstanding private sector and community support.
Starting with a single venue that entertained 14,592 theatregoers in the 1991 inaugural season, Drayton Entertainment has since spanned the province with five additional theatres and increased attendance to over 225,000! Drayton Entertainment is now the eighth largest employer of Equity Artists in the country.
Drayton Entertainment's inaugural production of Beauty and the Beast at the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse entertained 24,000 theatregoers in the fall of 2005 - completely selling out its 8-week run.
